Sigh. We are alone on a saturday morning. Allen is rounding at the hospital. This isn't unusual ... I'm just feeling especially lonely this morning. My morning cup of coffee just wasn't the same. Woe is me. You know, I married a physician so I can't feel too bad for myself (knowing what I was getting into, that is, in terms of long hours, etc). I am a strong woman and can fend for myself and our babies. Today just seems different.
But, I must temper my lonliness with the fact that I'm sure some poor family is grateful for their doctor to be taking time away from their family on a saturday morning so he can take care of their loved one. And I'm overcome and thankful that allen has been blessed with the knowledge and compassion to help others ... So this puts me in my place.
... But doesn't mean I don't count down the hours till he gets home!!
