So this morning was fun. I have always known that my kids were outgoing, but today proved it. Little Miss Livi is REALLY into books these days -- from the time she wakes up until the time she goes down, she wants to read books. (which I like to think is a reflection on my parenting, let me have it.) Today was no exception. She thought it a good idea to get out of my lap and go sit on the STORYTELLER's lap, or at least try. She was all up in her space trying to get a better look. Normally a mother would reel her kids back in, but I was busy with Little Miss Emma who was trying to play with all of the toys in the store, as well as walking up to other kids with their mommies to say hi. She is very interested in what others are doing and simply wants to observe. It is really sweet.
Today was a real challenge. I had one mother say, "bless you, you are brave." To which I replied, "that or I'm stupid!"
But, you know what? I refuse to deny my kids something simply because it is a challenge for me. They deserve everything that a singleton deserves, no matter how hard it is to get out the door. I just plan ahead and do the best I can.
Anyway, so after storytime we made our first art project -- apples on a green tree. The girls shared the project. Emma was really into the stickers and Livi just wanted to hold the back page of the stickers. I'm so proud to display their artwork on my fridge -- the first of many projects.
Sweet babies.
