Jackson Dale Whaley was born on August 8, 2009 and weighed 6 pounds, 9 ounces and was 21 inches long. Isn't he handsome? And so alert for a newborn! He is destined for great things in this world. We are so happy for Amber and Justin (Amber is Allen's sister). I know J'amber will be amazing parents and Jackson is so loved and blessed.
And below is Jackson at around 6 weeks. It is my understanding that he is a superstar eater -- just look how much he's grown since his newborn picture! He is also giving his mommy and daddy 6 hour stretches at night. Lucky parents, indeed! The picture below is probably one of my favorites. I think he looks like a perfect mixture of Atchley and Whaley. It is weird and probably a stretch, but I think he and Emma have the same chin (Allen and I have always said that Emma is going to look like her Aunt Amber). And they both appear to have little popeye smiles. He's gonna be a heartbreaker!
Allen and I are just sick that we haven't been able to meet him yet. But, of course, he can't be around our little petri dishes until his little immune system is stronger. And with Allen's board schedule, ah, it has been hectic. I can't wait to meet him, though! I know he is darling. Congrats to Amber and Justin!!! xoxo
