Hopefully this week will be better than last... We had big plans last week. But unfortuantely, we were stuck inside all week due to Livi's cold. I think it is clearing up now so we should be good to go. Last week, we missed playgroups, playdates, Kindermusik, my hangout with my friend sans babies (that one was due to school) and the coffee date with the chick from ACA. I also missed Andrea's baby shower this weekend. That one was a tough one to miss... but Allen had to work all weekend and we didn't have childcare. It would have been impossible for me to travel to Philly with the girls. I'm not that brave yet. Anyway, It was sad to miss... but I heard they had a great time and Dre got some nice gifts.
Speaking of gifts... I have like three gifts that I need to mail out! Two are from Christmas for Allen's Dad and Grandmother!!! One for my friend Tiffany (whose baby is already like 7 weeks old!), another for Dre, and one for Sarah... so that is 5. I'm lame. Also, I have a bunch of cards that need to get sent. I buy them and forget to send them. I also have big ideas for thank yous. Again, never get sent. (sidebar: I need to come up with a way to thank the Grandmothers... all this time, they help with diapers, clothes, laundry, groceries... I need a creative way to thank them. Somehow saying "thank you" just does not seem like enough) I don't know what my problem is, but it is impossible for me to focus on things other than babies and school. I wish I could focus more on life outside of that little bubble. I hope people understand.
Anyway, on tap for this week: I have an exam tonight, an assignment due tonight, a group project meeting tomorrow, playgroup, Kindermusik and that is about it so far. I have a ton other stuff to do ... ahhh, life.
So the girls are thisclose to crawling. Both girls can get up on all fours and rock. I noticied that Livi was doing the soldier crawl this morning. She looked like a little GI Joe crawling to get to a toy. Emma crawls backwards. Too cute! Emma has a new favorite toy - the taggies babydoll. I will give her a selection of toys and she will choose that one over all the others, every single time. Again, who knew that a 7 month old could have such strong preferences? Emma is still sucking her right thumb. Sometimes it is hard for me to get the spoon out of the way before she jams her thumb back in her mouth after a bite. She also sucks her thumb when she is sleeping. Livi likes to sleep with her bum up in the air. I need to grab a picture of that. Also, Livi has decided that she does not like her crib bumper because it prevents her from seeing around the room. Being the inventive girl that she is, she has learned to lift up the bottom of the bumper (becuase the bottom does not attach) and she'll peep out. It is really sweet to see her smiling face when I walk in the room. Both girls are still babbling away. Also, they are pros at sitting up now. Makes me proud!
Okay, gotta run. The girls are napping and I'm wasting valuable studying time!

Both Steve and you did the same thing regarding wanting to look around. You did not want to miss a thing. Wait until one of them decides it is time to get up and just goes off wandering. Ha!
