On Pregnancy Dreams

So everyone has heard about how pregnant women have crazy dreams, right? I guess I'm no exception. Most of the time they are mildly amusing.

Like the dream I had after watching "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past." A couple days after watching this movie, I had a dream that I was visited by each of my former losers -- err, boyfriends. (Btw, I'm sure they are very nice people...now.) I was visited by R, A and B. And each vignette was even stranger than the next. Anyway, I digress.

The dream I had last night was no dream at all -- it was a full blown nightmare. Every mother's worst kind of nightmare.

I'm not sure what happened to my husband or my unborn child -- it was just me, Em and Liv. The world was facing an Apocalypse of sorts. We were living in water world, everything was surrounded by water. We got around on surf boards. Me and two tiny babies, each on our very own surf board. Until a typhoon came and forced us to move. We stuck it out, together. Until we reached a village. It was millions of people on surfboards. Two ladies came up to me and said "awww, let me see them." And they grabbed the girls out of my arms. I remember being confused. The women walked in different directions and I became frantic. The lady holding Emma stopped and said that their skin tags were scanned as we entered the village. I told them they don't have tags. And the woman said, "of course they do, they were implanted at birth." She said that since they didn't have a daddy, they were wardens of the state and had to be separated from each other.

I then woke up from this horrible, horrible nightmare in a cold sweat and crying. How does a mother ever recover after losing her babies?

Ugh. It makes me sick to think about it. Must.stop.now.

  1. glad i am not the only one...my husband thinks I'm going a little nutty. Maybe you should only do happy movies before bed from now on!
